Pelabuhan Kayangan

Pelabuhan Kayangan (Labuhan Kayangan) is the main east-Lombok ferry harbour on the Alas Strait. Public ferries connect Lombok with Sumbawa (typically toward Pototano / Poto Tano), making Kayangan a key hub for travellers continuing east beyond Lombok.

For Lombok Boat guests, Kayangan is useful context when you are combining east-coast sightseeing (for example Pink Beach itineraries) with onward ferry plans — or when you need a private road transfer between Kayangan and Senggigi, Mataram, or a northern Gili boat harbour such as Teluk Nare.

Getting there

  • From Mataram: typically about 2–3 hours by road depending on traffic
  • From Lombok International Airport (LOP): often under 2 hours eastbound
  • From Senggigi / Teluk Nare: allow a full half-day road buffer

Share your ferry time — we can arrange private car transfers so you are not racing public bemos with luggage.

Routes & timing

Public ferries operate on the Alas Strait schedule between Kayangan and Sumbawa. This is separate from Lombok Boat’s private speedboat network to the northern Gilis (Teluk Nare / Bangsal / Senggigi). Tell us your full itinerary if you need both ferry timing and a Gili private boat on the same trip.

Tips

Ferry queues and weather windows can shift — arrive early, keep cash for harbour fees where required, and confirm the day’s sailing before you leave your hotel.
