Some of Lombok’s finest scenery sits north of the coast road, where rice fields give way to forest and the land climbs toward the shoulders of Mount Rinjani. This private full-day tour pairs the cool green world of Senaru’s waterfalls-Sendang Gile and Tiu Kelep-with sunset at Malimbu Hill, one of the island’s widest viewpoints over the Gili Islands.
The day starts with a morning pickup from your hotel or villa, timed for your group rather than a fixed departure list. You travel north in a private air-conditioned vehicle past coconut plantations, Sasak villages and roadside fruit stalls. Photo stops are flexible: if a view looks worth it, just ask and the car pulls over.
In Senaru, a short forest walk leads to cascading falls and natural pools. Swim, stand in the spray, or simply sit and listen-the air is cooler than on the coast, and it is easy to linger. Bring swimwear, a towel and a dry change of clothes.
In the afternoon the route follows the northwest coast, where the road hugs cliffs above the sea. The final stop is Malimbu Hill: forested headlands, deep blue water, and Gili Trawangan, Gili Meno and Gili Air on the horizon as the light turns copper and the islands fade to silhouette.
The tour suits couples, families and photographers who prefer a private car and a relaxed pace-no shared minibus and no pressure to rush. Walking is light to moderate on steps and forest paths. Expect around eight hours door to door, returning in the evening. Prefer an earlier start or a longer lunch stop? Tell us when you book and we will shape the day around you.
