Bukit Merese is the iconic grassy hill viewpoint above Tanjung Aan on Lombok’s south coast — sweeping views of white-sand bays, rocky headlands, and the Indian Ocean toward Mandalika and Kuta Lombok.
Sunrise and sunset are especially popular with photographers. An easy walk from the parking area near Tanjung Aan rewards you with open 360° coastal panoramas — ideal after a private transfer from your hotel or a Gili Islands boat arrival.

How to Get Bukit Merese
Most visitors reach Bukit Merese by private car or scooter from Kuta Lombok / Mandalika in about 15–25 minutes, continuing past Tanjung Aan to the hill parking area.
- From the Gilis, take a private speedboat to Teluk Nare / Senggigi (or south Lombok hubs), then drive south to Kuta–Tanjung Aan.
- Expect a short uphill walk (roughly 10–20 minutes) on an open grassy path — sturdy shoes help on uneven ground.
- Combine with Tanjung Aan Beach, Mawun, or a south-coast day tour the same itinerary.
