Senaru is the classic north-Lombok mountain village gateway to Rinjani — rice terraces, cool air, and the trailheads for Sendang Gile and Tiu Kelep waterfalls.
Even without a multi-day trek, Senaru makes a superb nature day from Senggigi or after a Gili Islands boat transfer: jungle waterfalls, village views, and Rinjani on clear mornings.

How to Get Senaru
Senaru is reached by private car from Senggigi / Bangsal area in roughly 1.5–2.5 hours depending on traffic and stops.
- From the Gilis, boat to Bangsal then continue by car up to Senaru.
- From south Lombok (Kuta), plan a long day or overnight — distances are significant.
- We coordinate hotel pickup so waterfall visits start before the busiest mid-morning crowds when possible.

Focus on waterfalls, viewpoints, and soft village walks.
- Visit Sendang Gile and continue to Tiu Kelep.
- Photograph rice terraces and Rinjani when clouds lift.
- Stay overnight if starting a Rinjani trek the next morning.
- Combine with a west-coast sunset stop on the return toward Senggigi.
